With a restless mind of passion and creativity, Natalie Asport has been writing music most of her life. Originally born in Newburgh, NY before becoming a Southern resident to Orlando, FL, and before moving back up North, this time to work and live in the heart of New York City, Natalie captures a raw and honest tone in her music and her delivery of somber lyrics in her vocals which can be relatable to her listeners and audience while still creating a catchy melody to immerse them into her world.
As an artist, Natalie's songwriting continuously serves as a creative outlet, an escape, a way to tell stories, and a way to make sense of life's abstract concepts. As a well-rounded musician, she writes lyrics, sings, plays the guitar, the drums, and the piano to craft and compose her songs. She has written a plethora of songs over the span of 14 years and is slowing chipping away at the list performing them in shows around New York City. Venues of her past shows include the SideWalk Cafe (the Antifolk Festival 2018-2019), Secret Project Robot, Otto's Shrunken Head, and Little Skips. Currently as a solo act, but there are plans in the future for a band...
She was exposed early on to a wide range of different sounds of music and songwriting which expanded and amplified her taste and passion in music. When she is not creating her own songs, she is listening to others and her diverse bag of musical influences include, but are absolutely not limited to:
Nine Inch Nails, Ed Sheeran, Alanis Morissette, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Chris Cornell, Corey Taylor, Alice In Chains, David Bowie, Daughter, Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Underoath, Three Days Grace, Seether, Creed, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Marilyn Manson, Sex Pistols, Eminem, Avril Lavigne, Sia, NYC's Antifolk Scene.
